From an early age, I have been captivated by the beauty and diversity of wildlife. My childhood was filled with the wonder of keeping tadpoles, locusts, silkworms and ant farms as pets, alongside the companionship of dogs, cats, budgies, rabbits, and the serene presence of a fish tank. After moving to Nth NSW in 1980 I was interested in photography, batik and leadlight classes. I have owned four horses in my lifetime and have had horse riding adventures in Montana USA, Kenya and Uganda. In my 60s, I discovered the joy of painting animals, and it has become a transformative journey. I am passionate about capturing the essence of every creature, from the tiniest bug to the mightiest buffalo, striving for a realistic interpretation that celebrates their unique characteristics. As the Artist-in-Residence at the Murwillumbah Main St Art Gallery, I thrive in a space where my creativity flows freely. With my art supplies permanently set up and always at hand, I am able to immerse myself in my work and explore the fascinating world of wildlife art every day.I welcome the challenge of commissions wholeheartedly.
